I'm delighted to be showing photographs at three venues, two of which are the result of commissions over the past year.
Horns of Plenty / Oxford Photographers

At the Mathematical Institute, venue #391, my photographs of Horns of Plenty in rehearsal and performance will be part of the group exhibition by Oxford Photographers, nine local photographers showing pictures covering a diverse range of styles and subject matter.
The Andrew Wiles Building (map) is a fantastic venue for showing big pictures. There will be special events on Tuesday 23 May (featuring live music from Horns of Plenty at 6pm) and on Bank Holiday Monday (29 May) an architectural photowalk will be organised - all welcome.

The exhibition will be at the Mathematical Institute until 9 June, and I am grateful to Hugh Turner and the Horns for their fantastic support and encouragement during preparation for the exhibition.
Doing, Belonging, Becoming / FarmAbility

FarmAbility is an outdoor, farm-based programme of animal husbandry, horticulture, and seasonal tasks forĀ adults (or co-farmers) with autism and learning disabilities. Earlier this year I was invited to photograph the activities of co-farmers, volunteers, and staff in order to illustrate the mission of providing meaningful occupation - and the exhibition Doing, Belonging, Becoming is a result of this.
FarmAbility is a fantastic project and does excellent work: small groups, supported by enthusiastic staff and volunteers, help co-farmers gain a real sense of purpose and achievement, while building the practical and vocational skills they need to move forward in their lives.
The exhibition is at venue #468 at FAI Farms next to the Field Station at Wytham (map) and runs 20-26 May. I am indebted to Sarah Giles and all at FarmAbility for their support and to The Funding Network in Oxford for connecting me to the team in the first instance.

RSPB Otmoor / St Matthew's Grandpont

Finally, I have a more personal project of photographs taken at RSPB Otmoor last winter. I had heard about the starling murmurations out there (50,000 birds roosting together on cold winter nights) and this is a record of some of the things I saw. Sadly, the murmurations seemed to retreat further from the main viewing point each time I went, and instead I got to see more people - birders, photographers, and family groups. People would joke about the murmuration of humans at Otmoor, but we'd walk back to our cars to glorious sunsets in sub-zero temperatures having sometimes seen things we weren't entirely expecting.
The photographs are part of the wider show at St Matthew's church in Marlborough Street, Grandpont (venue #360) and in the city Artweeks period is open Sats, Suns and Mon 29 May: 1pm - 5pm; Thurs 25 May 6.30pm - 8.30pm (map).
